Container Terminal and Customs Exam Warehouse
The Red Hook Container Terminal is the only container terminal located in the heart of New York City providing direct vessel access to Brooklyn and the fastest access to Queens and Long Island. In addition, we offer our customers the only on-dock Customs Exam Warehouse for the fastest turn times on cargo exams in the Port of NY&NJ. Our container port in Brooklyn specializes in providing services to all types of fresh and frozen perishable commodities from South and Central America, and the Caribbean basin. Millions of pounds of tropical fruit and other commodities arrive weekly on Seaboard Marine vessels for delivery to local markets in NYC and beyond.
RoRo, Break-Bulk Heavy Lift and Project Cargo
Our facilities in NY&NJ have thousands of feet of deep water berth, STS and Mobile Harbor cranes, and over 400,000 square feet of dry cargo warehouse space, and adjacent outdoor storage capacity for all types of break-bulk and project cargo requirements.
Our Port Newark RoRo terminal provides terminal receiving, storage and stevedoring services to NYK, Sallaum Lines and Hyundai Glovis for export shipments of POV's and all types of High &Heavy rolling and static cargo.
Cross Harbor Container and Trailer On Barge Services
Our Cross Harbor Container and Trailer On Barge service provides our customers a direct link to our terminals in NY&NJ through our cross harbor barge service with additional gate access for import and export pick up and delivery at our Port Newark Barge Terminal linking our NY/NJ terminals via the Marine Highway, a sustainable, environmentally friendly, and cost effective solution to reduce traffic congestion, pollution and highway maintenance and repair, using the water to move freight as close to its last mile destination. Red Hook Terminals is working with other stakeholders around the region to expand the use of barging for freight movement.

Red Hook Terminals is a multi-faceted Terminal Operator, Stevedore and Cross Harbor Barge Operator with three facilities located within the Port of NY&NJ complex. With cargo handling capabilities second to none, Red Hook Terminals specializes in handling any size or type cargo.
